Hawaii sketches pt 2
More sketches from Hawaii!
This was somewhere in Kane'ohe bay, which I believe is located northeast of Oahu.
This van was driving in the city, but I wanted to give it a tropical island look so I placed it along the coast line.
We passed a winch hiking halfway up the summit of Mount Diamond head. The winch was used to hoist construction materials up to the peak where the pillboxes are sitting on today.

Hawaii sketches pt 1
Aloha! Here are some sketches from my trip with my friends to Oahu, Hawaii for the winter break! I don't think these drawings do the beauty of the island any justice but they're the best I have! I also wanna thank my friend Nak and his family for letting us stay at their place. Nak and his parents took us to literally the best places in the island! Without them, we would've missed out on so much, so Thank you NAK! Anyway, I'll be updating this blog with more sketches, so stay tuned!

More characters!
Some exploration sketches I did for my film this year. The story is still in progress but I'm looking to nail it down over the next week or so!
Also, I'll be off to CTN in 10 minutes and I have no doubt that work will be easy peasy over the next couple of days since I'll be coming back with a dozen of books and a ton of inspiration to work off!

Animation Test.
Here's an animation test I just did for my film this year!
Aside from my film, I just ordered a terrarium set off of Amazon and I can't wait to get started on that! Check out this cool looking terrarium I found online!

Sherlock Hound?
I started watching Sherlock Hound recently and I really like the tv series so I did a sketch of Hound and his steam car from memory during a class but realized that it looks nothing close to the original. I had fun drawing this though, so... here's my Sherlock Hound Fan Art!
Also, Hound is a pembroke corgi in the series, sorry for messing it up!

Bart Junior!
Our first 2d animation assignment for the fall semester was to come up with a model sheet of a character we see ourselves animating for the semester. These are the few drawings I did of Bart Junior, who is the railroad track operator in my mine film this year. His design isn't final but this is the look I am going for.
I don't have the entire story figured out yet but the gist is that a batch of miner's lives are highly dependent on Bart, who happens to be an unbelievably careless track operator.
Drawing of a Happy Bart.
All these drawings are done with black col-erase on letter-sized paper.
Most of these poses are probably not even gonna end up in the final film but they help a lot in figuring out what kind of a character Bart is. I have so much work to do on the story but figuring it out is my favorite part of the process!

The Runaways!
BAM BAM! This was a such fun piece to work on! It's been sitting around in my computer for the longest time and I just wanted to get it done so I can move on to another project!
The Runaways!
I also just finished my story internship with Sony Pictures Animation last Friday, August the 16th! I can't believe how fast time flew by! I learned so much within the two months of my time there and was incredibly lucky to be under the guidance of so many talented artists who were extremely generous with their time and I am super thankful for that! I miss the people a ton, but I'm also excited to go back to CalArts as a third year this coming fall and I can't wait to see what's next!
Hope everyone is having an amazing summer!!!

Grown ups.
I haven't posted anything since the beginning of summer so this really is my first post in a looong while. Anyway, I thought it'd be interesting to take on a different approach in this piece of work since I've always wanted to try something different. It's not too far off from the way I normally draw but I'm glad I tried.
Grown ups
I also forgot to mention that I'm currently interning at Sony Pictures Animation as a story intern for the summer! I only have 3 weeks left but it's been a lot of fun.

Hey everyone! so I finally put together my story portfolio for this year and wanted to share it with you guys! Got a couple of call backs and I feel so motivated to work even harder than ever! Anyway, here are a couple of character stuff from Freaks of Ba'Goons that I included in my portfolio! Click on the link to see my full portfolio! :) Yon 2013 Story Portfolio
My portfolio could definitely use a lot more work over here and there but I'm glad I gave my best shot within the given time to put one together! Now it's time to move onto film and hopefully applying to internships after that !!! :)

Freaks of Ba'goons finally running!
So portfolio day is coming up and I've been waiting a long time to board a quick sequence from Freaks of Ba'goons for my portfolio. Here are some panels from the storyboard that I've boarded. This coming summer I'm thinking of turning this into a weekly comic depending on the given situation. I've done some comic sketches in my sketchbook and will share it here as soon as I find time. I want to continue developing the story and characters and see where this will take me.
I'm still working on portfolio and I have a lot more to go. Good luck to whoever is working on it too!! :)
