More characters!
Some exploration sketches I did for my film this year. The story is still in progress but I'm looking to nail it down over the next week or so!
Also, I'll be off to CTN in 10 minutes and I have no doubt that work will be easy peasy over the next couple of days since I'll be coming back with a dozen of books and a ton of inspiration to work off!

Bart Junior!
Our first 2d animation assignment for the fall semester was to come up with a model sheet of a character we see ourselves animating for the semester. These are the few drawings I did of Bart Junior, who is the railroad track operator in my mine film this year. His design isn't final but this is the look I am going for.
I don't have the entire story figured out yet but the gist is that a batch of miner's lives are highly dependent on Bart, who happens to be an unbelievably careless track operator.

Drawing of a Happy Bart.
All these drawings are done with black col-erase on letter-sized paper.
Most of these poses are probably not even gonna end up in the final film but they help a lot in figuring out what kind of a character Bart is. I have so much work to do on the story but figuring it out is my favorite part of the process!

The Runaways!
BAM BAM! This was a such fun piece to work on! It's been sitting around in my computer for the longest time and I just wanted to get it done so I can move on to another project!
The Runaways!
I also just finished my story internship with Sony Pictures Animation last Friday, August the 16th! I can't believe how fast time flew by! I learned so much within the two months of my time there and was incredibly lucky to be under the guidance of so many talented artists who were extremely generous with their time and I am super thankful for that! I miss the people a ton, but I'm also excited to go back to CalArts as a third year this coming fall and I can't wait to see what's next!
Hope everyone is having an amazing summer!!!
